Case 1
Innovative applications at Ridderflex & Plastics B.V.
Did you know that our inflatable pipe stoppers and packers are not only suitable for sealing pipes but also for other applications? In the offshore industry, “riser clamps” are fitted with ribbed rubber plates. To properly vulcanize these plates, special packers are placed and inflated, creating optimal pressure and ensuring a perfect bond between rubber and steel. A successful example is a project carried out by Ridderflex & Plastics B.V., where our products played a crucial role.

Sustainability and innovation at the Rutte Group
The Rutte Group is a leader in climate-positive construction and innovation. Urban Mine BV, a subsidiary, focuses on high-quality recycling of concrete rubble. Their patented system converts concrete rubble into gravel, sand, and (un)hydrated cement. For the production of prefab quay walls in Amsterdam, sustainable inflatable products from De Raad Rubber B.V. are used. These products replace single-use spiral tubes, are reusable, and help reduce environmental impact. This demonstrates the Rutte Group’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Lifting cushions at the nieuwe sluis Terneuzen by Sassevaart
The Nieuwe Sluis in Terneuzen is an impressive structure, comparable to the locks in the Panama Canal. For this project, De Raad Rubber B.V. supplies inflatable lifting cushions used in the placement of maintenance gates in the concrete structure. Two to four lifting cushions (8 bar) can be inflated simultaneously, allowing precise placement of the gate. This project, carried out by the Sassevaart consortium, highlights the strength and precision of our products in large infrastructure projects.
